York Railway Museum Weddings | York Wedding Photographer | Sue & Russell
York Railway Museum offers a truly unique setting for your wedding day. The York National Railway Museum is the world’s largest railway museum and houses over a million objects celebrating train travel. The museum is firmly established as one of Yorkshire’s most prominent wedding venues, offering a unique destination for wedding celebrations in York by transporting guests back to a luxurious era of European rail travel.
Couples can hold their wedding in Station Hall, which features the museum’s famous royal carriages and can accommodate up to 250 for a wedding ceremony and reception or 500 for a wedding reception. Intimate receptions can also be held in the Countess of York, a beautifully restored luxurious Pullman-style carriage which has been converted to host up to 12 guests for a ceremony and 30 people during the day and evening
Sue and Russell were a truly amazing couple. They wanted to take full advantage of all York Railway Museum had to offer. Embracing the railway theme Sue and Russell had a train cake, train themed tables names and even the grooms men had vintage railway hats.
