On Wednesday I had the absolute pleasure of being part of Deborah and Lee’s Wedding day. The wedding was held at the truly stunning Parsonage Hotel York and St Helens Church which is just across the road from the hotel. The day was extra special, given the current situation Lee and Deborah had decided to have 6 guests and keep their wedding a secret from every one else.
The day started at Deborah’s parents house with bridal prep. The drinks were flowing and the girls were in high spirits getting ready for the the day ahead. Here I took the opportunity to capture pictures of the stunning wedding dress as well as the flowers Deborah had chosen for her wedding day.
I joined Lee and his best man at the wedding venue Parsonage Hotel, I was able to capture some picture of the guys before the start of the wedding day.
St Helens Church was the venue of choice for the wedding ceremony, it is on the door step of the Parsonage Hotel meaning its nice and easy to walk back to the venue after the ceremony. The church looked stunning, the perfect back drop for the wedding ceremony.
After the ceremony the wedding party headed over to the Parsonage Hotel. After the wedding ceremony we took some traditional group shots and took advantage the stunning grounds of the hotel. The rest of the day was filled with lots of fun and friends before the traditional speeches and cake cutting. I was able to steal the bride and groom away from the main wedding party for a short time to take some wedding couple images, using the hotel grounds as a backdrop we took a small walk and were able to capture some amazing couple images. The day concluded with the couples first dance and a couple of final wedding day images out side, where we were able to use the rain to capture some stunning couple portraits.
This is a wedding I have been looking forward to for a long time. With only having 6 guest it make it a very intermit day and if anything added to the day. I am honestly privileged to have been a part of this day and it not lost on me the importance of the wedding day pictures.
