Emily and Duncan chose to have their wedding day at Wentbridge House. Wentbridge house is located in the small village of Wentbridge just off the A1 with easy links to, Leeds, Doncaster, Wakefeild and the surrounding area. The venue its self is stunning and a pleasure for any wedding day couple or Wentbridge Wedding Photographer.
I am so happy that we chose Dave to capture the photos from our wedding day. He made everyone feel comfortable and confident, so we managed to get some very natural shots.
Dave is extremely professional, yet very approachable and friendly, which is what we wanted in a photographer. I couldn’t recommend Dave more, the day went very smoothly and we were really surprised when we received our complete set of photos less than a week after the wedding!
Thanks so much Dave. We won’t hesitate to use you again the future.
Emily & Duncan
We fell in love with Wentbridge House. From the outside, the grounds were stunning when we visited – and that was in October – we could imagine how beautiful it would be in spring time. The hotel itself had a lovely balance of character whilst still feeling contemporary. It was the first venue we could actually see ourselves being married at, out of the four we had visited.
We met at work 8 years ago but didn’t pursue a relationship until 4 years into knowing one another. Duncan always really fancied me but I never entertained the idea, until fate brought us together in August 2017, when he asked me out on a date. Shortly into our relationship, I moved myself into Duncan’s house. We bought a house together in Feb 2019 and soon afterwards got our first dog, George. Some time later, in September 2019, on holiday in our favorite spot – Ibiza old town – Duncan got down on one knee in front of the castle and asked me to be his wife!
I said yes, without a second thought, and we went on to plan our big day…..
Emily chose to get ready in at Wentbridge House with the rest of the bridal party. When I arrived the girls were relaxed and in good spirits as they looked forward to the wedding day ahead. Emily and Duncan chose to have two photographers on their wedding day which meant I was able to concentrate on capturing the bride’s details and the second photographer was able to capture more candid images of the bridal party. I always think its important on a wedding day to capture all of the deathless from the day all those little touches you have been planning.
Along with capturing all the details from the start of the wedding day, it’s important to capture all the little moments that happen. The preparation stages of the wedding day are the first chapter of a day you will look back on for years to come. It’s so important to be able to look back on this part of your day. Before long it was time for Emily to start getting in her wedding dress ready for the wedding ceremony.
Emily and Duncan chose to have two wedding photographers on their day. This meant that we could be in two places at once, capturing their day from different angles and even two different locations. Duncan chose to have his Preparation images taken at the wedding venue. We were able to capture some final prep images with the groom along with some informal pictures of Duncan and his Grooms Men.
Emily and Duncan had chosen for their ceremony to take place at Wentbridge House. The venue looked fantastic and having everything all in one place it made it easy for everyone involved. By having two wedding photographers we were able to capture the wedding ceremony from both the front and the back meaning nothing was missed.
After the bride and groom had completed the formal wedding ceremony they continued their wedding day with formal group pictures and some couple images between the two of them. The day they continued with the traditional wedding breakfast and speeches. We were so lucky to have a fantastic sunset which we took full advantage of. Before long it was time for the traditional first dance, then Emily and Duncan partied into the night to celebrate their wedding day.
A huge congratulation to the Bride and Groom Emily and Duncan. It was a pleasure to be a part of your fantastic wedding day.
