Hollie and Matt chose to have their wedding at the truly unique Waterton Park, the hotel itself is situated on an island does it get any more unique than this? At the centre of the island, you will find the focal point of the grounds Walton Hall. The hall is a grand Georgian Mansion house with 22 hotel rooms, a fantastic restaurant, a bar and a health club. There are additional hotel facilities across from the island. The stunning grounds make the perfect backdrop for any wedding day held at Waterton Park.
Waterton Park took our breath away the moment we stepped on the bridge. The scenery is incredible and we both fell in love immediately. We have taken our parents there to see it and they were also taken aback at how stunning it is. We really could not have picked a better venue!
Weve known eachother since we were really young and would often cross paths at family parties as our families were friends. One year we just got talking and the rest is history! Matt has always loved doing magic tricks and used to be part of the magic circle and so it was inevitable that he would propose through a magic trick! We are both football obsessed and spend hours both watching and playing football together, a perfect match really!
Hollie decided to get ready for her wedding day at home surrounded by her friends and family. Getting ready at home can be a really good option, this is your space and it can really help relax you. When I arrived in the morning everyone was in good spirits and looking forward to the wedding day ahead. Hollie and Matt had chosen two photographers for their wedding day meaning that while one of us was capturing the details, think wedding dress, shoes, and jewellery, the other photographer was able to capture some more candid moments between Hollie and her bridal party.
It was not long before the hair and makeup were complete and it was time to get Hollie into her wedding dress. Hollies mum was on hand to help Hollie get it to her dress. After some images in the garden, the girls and I headed off to the church for the wedding ceremony.
Hollie and Matt have chosen for their wedding ceremony to take place at the wonderful St Marys Church in the village of Mirfield. The church made the perfect backdrop for the ceremony. As the guest arrived there was a fantastic vibe. Before long it was time for the guest to take their seats and the ceremony to begin.
As the Church wedding ceremony came to an end the Bride and Groom exited St Marys’s church followed by their wedding guest. Before moving on the reception venue, both Hollie and Matt took a moment to meet and greet their guests before a big group formal image and some couple pictures. After this, it was time to head over to the wedding reception venue Waterton Park Hotel.
After the short drive to Waterton Park Hotel, Hollie and Matt continue their wedding day. After some drinks and canapes, we took some group formal pictures which the bride and groom had requested. These are a fantastic way to capture the people who mean the most to you looking their best. I not only love to capture the formal image but also the in-between moments of every one lathing and enjoying the wedding day.
After we had finished the group formal pictures, me and the couple took a walk around the grounds of the venue to get some pictures of them together. These normally last about 15-20 minutes and can be a really nice way to take a moment away from the hustle and bustle of the main wedding and also capture some stunning pictures between you both. I try and keep things relaxed to help capture the true personality between you both.
Hollie and Matt had chosen to have their speeches before the meal. The speeches had all the emotions wrapped up in one with plenty of laughter along the way. As the evening continued we were treated to a fantastic sunset and rainbow. This is something you can not book for your wedding day, so when it happens you need to go for it. Matt and Hollie were more than willing so we headed outside to capture some images of the bride and groom together.
Soon the evening guest started to arrive and it was time to for the first dance and to party the night away. It was a fantastic day spent with Hollie and Matt on their wedding day, but before we said out good bye we headed back out side for a quick twilight photo shoot, where we created some truly stunning images to help them remember their amazing wedding day.
A huge congratulation to the Bride and Groom Hollie and Matt. It was a pleasure to be a part of your fantastic wedding day.
