Nottingham Wedding Photographer

Hi, I’m Dave, a relaxed, documentary wedding photographer based near Castleford, an easy run down the M1 to Nottingham. I photograph weddings across Nottinghamshire, from Swancar Farm at Trowell Moor to Hazel Gap Barn on the Welbeck Estate, with no travel charge.

I’ll capture your day as it really happens, keep the portraits short and give you around 800 edited pictures from a full day, in an online gallery within three weeks.

Photographing a Wedding in Nottingham

The Nottinghamshire venues I know are both barns in big country estates, with courtyards, woodland and open fields, so portraits never mean going far.

I’ll be there for the getting ready, then cover the ceremony quietly, whether that’s in a barn or a church.

Afterwards it’s confetti, about twenty minutes of portraits, and then the fun bits. With the Signature or Complete package we’ll also pop out after dark for fifteen minutes of twilight pictures.

Nottingham Venues I Know

These are the Nottinghamshire venues I photograph. Each one has its own page with more about the venue and the real weddings I’ve photographed there.

Swancar Farm

Swancar Farm is at Trowell Moor, near Nottingham and close to the Derbyshire border, a couple of minutes from the M1. You can marry in the Gallery or the Glass Barn, then dine in the Oak Hall, with its arched oak beams, for up to 140. It only hosts one event a day, in 250 acres of countryside. See this Swancar Farm wedding.

Hazel Gap Barn is at Budby, on the historic Welbeck Estate. Ceremonies are in the Ceremony Hall for up to 150, with up to 250 in the evening, and the courtyard has a fountain, mulberry trees and fire pits after dark. The barn is yours for the day, with a late licence until 1am and bluebell woods on the estate for pictures. Have a look at Amy & Chris’s wedding.
