Over the last year I have entered a number of Wedding Photography competitions with the Guild of Wedding Photographer. The Guild of Photographers is a professional organisation for photographers in the UK.  All the competitions are based purely on photographic ability, they are judged by a professional panel of judges.  These judges look for a number of different things when judging the images including, impact, presentation, technical execution, lighting, technique, creativity,  story telling, subject matter, colour balance, composition,  centre of interest and colour.
