Can I have the RAW files from my wedding?
No, and you will find very few wedding photographers who hand them over. A RAW file is an unfinished negative rather than a photograph. It is flat, uncorrected and needs specialist software to open. What you get instead is every image I have chosen and edited to completion.
Why do we not receive every photo taken on the day?
Because most of them are near duplicates. I will shoot thousands of frames across a wedding day, and my job in editing is to pick the frame where the expression and the light are right, then finish it properly.
How many edited images do we actually receive?
600 or more from a full wedding day, all fully edited, delivered in a password-protected online gallery three to four weeks after your wedding.
