My Approach to Wedding Photography at Manor House Lindley
I photograph the day as it happens. Most of it you will not notice me doing. I will get everyone together for the family groups you want and I will find the two of you twenty quiet minutes, but the rest of the day is yours to enjoy rather than pose for.
You get 800 or more edited images back within three to four weeks, and there are 72 five-star Google reviews from couples I have worked with. Lindley is fifteen minutes from me, so this is very much home ground.
Photographing a Wedding at Manor House Lindley
The Coach House sits in its own private garden, and that is the detail that matters on the day. The ceremony, the confetti and the drinks all happen within a few steps of each other, with a garden wall around the lot – so nothing has to be herded anywhere and nobody wanders off to find the bar.
The Lantern Room is the other space, and between the two the venue handles a big day and a small one equally well – up to 150 dining in the Coach House and up to 200 in the evening.
Because they only ever do one wedding a day, there is no clock running against you. That is worth more than it sounds: it means portraits can happen when the light is right rather than when the room has to be turned round, and it means the twenty minutes I ask for is twenty relaxed minutes.
The House and the Garden
Manor House Lindley is right on the edge of Huddersfield, just off junction 24 of the M62, which makes it one of the easiest venues in West Yorkshire for guests to reach. Once you are through the gates you would not know the motorway was there.
There are 11 individually designed bedrooms on site, so the wedding party can stay over and the morning is not a convoy of taxis.
