The Parsonage Hotel was built in the early 1840s and the hotel maintains many of its original features. There are two restaurants on site as well as a spar. During your wedding day you will have use of Parsonage Hotel Conservatory and exclusive use of their Crystal Suite.

My Approach to Wedding Photography at The Parsonage
I photograph the day as it happens. Most of it you will not notice me doing. I will get everyone together for the family groups you want and I will find the two of you twenty quiet minutes, but the rest of the day is yours to enjoy rather than pose for.
You get 800 or more edited images back within three to four weeks, and there are 72 five-star Google reviews from couples I have worked with. The Parsonage is an easy run from West Yorkshire, and York itself is six miles up the road.
Photographing a Wedding at The Parsonage
There are three rooms here, including the Wenlock Room and the Crystal Suite, and which one you take changes how the day is photographed more than most couples expect. It is worth walking them with the venue and picking the one whose light you like, not just the one whose size fits.
The grounds are the other half of it. Escrick is flat, open East Yorkshire countryside, which means big skies – and big skies are a gift late in the day. Leave a few minutes free after the meal; that is usually when the best of it happens.
Portraits take twenty minutes and no more. Everything sits close together, so there is no march across an estate and no standing about while somebody fetches the car.
The Setting
The Parsonage sits at Escrick, about six miles south of York, in its own grounds off the main road. It is close enough to York that guests can make a weekend of it and far enough out that the day feels like it belongs to you rather than to a city centre hotel.
