On Saturday I had the privilege to be a part of the wedding of Roxanna and Scott, which was held at the wonderful Astley Bank Hotel situated in the North West.  The day started as I met the bridal party at the bride’s parent’s house.  They were in good spirits as they got ready for the wedding day ahead.  I started by photographing the bridal details, things like the wedding dress, perfume, and the all-important wedding day shoes.  Throughout the morning I photographed the preparation and all the in-between moments.  Before long it was time for Roxanna to get into her wedding dress, and apply the final touches for when she walks down the aisle to meet her future husband.

When I arrived at Astley Bank hotel the sun was well and truly shining, it was forecast to be one of the hottest days of the year.  The wedding venue looks wonderful in the sun, both inside and out was ready and waiting for the wedding guest to arrive.  Before long it was time to move into the ceremony room at Astley Bank for the wedding ceremony to start

The ceremony room at Astley Bank hotel was all set and looked perfect ready to welcome the waiting couple and their guests.  During the ceremony I act like a fly on the wall simply documenting the ceremony as it unfolds and all the guest’s reactions, including all the tears and knowing looks.  Astley Bank hotel wedding ceremony room is lined with big windows making the room nice and bright, the perfect setting for Roxanna and Scott to say their marriage vows in front of their wedding guest, before exchanging their first kiss as husband and wife.

After Roxanna and Scott had signed the marriage certificate, posed for some quick photographs for their wedding guests they headed out side.  Here the day continued in the traditional way, confetti was throne, the group and couple wedding pictures were completed and before long it was time to head back inside for the wedding day speeches and wedding breakfast.  Speeches for me are always such a job to capture, in this part of the day there are so many emotions so many reactions it really is a pleasure to capture.
