Dewsbury Wedding Photographer
Hi, I’m Dave, a relaxed, documentary wedding photographer based near Castleford, just along the M62 from Dewsbury. I photograph weddings in Dewsbury, Batley, Mirfield and Birstall, from Bagden Hall to the Woodlands Hotel, and there’s never a travel charge.
I keep things easy-going and natural. I’ll capture what really happens, keep the posed pictures short and give you around 800 edited pictures from a full day, in an online gallery within three weeks.

Dewsbury Weddings at a Glance
Photographing a Wedding in Dewsbury
Dewsbury sits between Leeds, Wakefield and Huddersfield, so there’s a lovely choice of venues close by, from old mill owners’ houses to country hotels with big gardens.

Mornings are one of my favourite parts of the day: the dressing gowns, the fizz and the nerves. I’ll fit in around you, so there’s no need to stop what you’re doing for me.

I’ll cover the ceremony quietly, from the vows to signing the register, then take you away for about twenty minutes of portraits. With the Signature or Complete package we’ll pop back out after dark for fifteen minutes of twilight pictures too.

Wedding Venues Near Dewsbury
These are the venues around Dewsbury that I photograph. Each one has its own page with more about the venue and the real weddings I’ve photographed there.
Woodlands Hotel

The Woodlands Hotel is in Gildersome, on the edge of Leeds: a late 19th-century mansion built for the mill owner George Webster. You can marry in the Garden Room, the Study for smaller weddings, or outside on the Terrace overlooking the gardens, and the glass-fronted Orangery takes up to 250 for a reception. Have a look at Hannah & Paul’s wedding.

Bagden Hall

Bagden Hall is at Scissett, between Huddersfield and Wakefield. It was built in the 1860s for the mill owner Charles Norton and sits in 40 acres of gardens with a lake. Outdoor ceremonies run from April to October, and Bagden only ever hosts one wedding a day. See Jade & Brett’s and Tamsin & Alasdair’s weddings.

Real Weddings at Oakwell Hall
Oakwell Hall is in Birstall, just up the road from Dewsbury, and I’ve photographed weddings there for Abi & Rick and Adelle & Ashley.
How Much Is a Wedding Photographer in Dewsbury?
