Hi, I’m Dave, a relaxed, documentary wedding photographer based near Castleford, just down the M62 from Leeds. I photograph weddings across the city and out to Otley, Wetherby and Gildersome, from Oulton Hall to the Woodlands Hotel, with no travel charge.

I’ll capture what really happens, keep the posed pictures short and give you around 800 edited pictures from a full day, in an online gallery within three weeks.

Photographing a Wedding in Leeds

Leeds is surrounded by big country hotels in their own grounds, so even a wedding a few minutes from the city centre can have lawns, woodland and a golf course to wander for portraits.

I’ll be with you from the morning, catching the make-up, the groomsmen and the nerves, then cover the ceremony quietly from the back and the sides.

Portraits take about twenty minutes, so you’re soon back with your guests. With the Signature or Complete package we’ll pop out again after dark for fifteen minutes of twilight pictures.

Oulton Hall

Oulton Hall is at Oulton, on the edge of Leeds, with quick links to the A1, M1 and M62. It sits in 320 acres with a golf course, and you can marry in the Repton Suite for up to 70 or the Oulton Suite for up to 220. See Leanne & Garry’s and Amy & Craig’s weddings.

Woodlands Hotel

The Woodlands Hotel is in Gildersome, a late 19th-century mansion built for the mill owner George Webster. You can marry in the Garden Room, the Study or outside on the Terrace, and the glass-fronted Orangery takes up to 250. Have a look at Hannah & Paul’s wedding.

Wood Hall Hotel & Spa

Wood Hall is at Linton, near Wetherby, looking out over the Wharfe Valley, with the Georgian Room for up to 60, the Vavasour Suite for up to 100, and outdoor ceremonies on the Front Steps or in the Italian Gardens.

Chevin Country Park Hotel

The Chevin Country Park Hotel is up on the Chevin above Otley, among woodland with a lake, with ceremonies in the hotel’s suites. Laura & Dan married here.

How Much Is a Wedding Photographer in Leeds?

Essential is £1,300 for ten hours. Signature, my most booked package, is £1,800 for the full day and includes an album and a second photographer, and Complete, which adds video, is £2,400. Part-day coverage is £400.

There are discounts for winter weddings (October to March) and midweek weddings (Monday to Thursday), and there’s no travel charge for Leeds. Everything that’s included is on my prices page.
