Wetherby Wedding Photographer

Hi, I’m Dave, a relaxed, documentary wedding photographer based near Castleford, so Wetherby is only a short hop up the A1 for me. I photograph weddings in Wetherby, Boston Spa, Tadcaster and the villages along the Wharfe, from Wood Hall to Hazlewood Castle, and there’s no travel charge.

I’ll be there to capture the day as it really happens, with very little posing, and you’ll get around 800 edited pictures from a full day, in an online gallery within three weeks.

Photographing a Wedding in Wetherby

The countryside around Wetherby is full of big old houses in their own grounds, so most of the weddings I photograph here have plenty of room outside, whether that’s woodland, gardens or a view down the Wharfe Valley.

Lisa having her hair and make-up done on the morning of her wedding

I like to arrive while you’re still getting ready. It’s usually the most relaxed part of the day, with the hair and make-up going on and everyone chatting, and I’ll just quietly get on with it in the corner.

Once you’re married, I’ll grab a big group picture of everyone while they’re all together, then take the two of you away for about twenty minutes of portraits. With the Signature or Complete package we’ll also slip out after sunset for fifteen minutes of twilight pictures.

Then it’s speeches, cake and the dance floor, and that’s often when the best pictures of your friends and family happen.
