Hi, I’m Dave, a relaxed, documentary wedding photographer based near Castleford, an easy drive down the M1 to Sheffield. I’ve photographed lots of weddings at Aston Hall, and at Whitley Hall up in Grenoside, and there’s never a travel charge.

I’ll capture your day as it really happens, keep the posed pictures short, and give you around 800 edited pictures from a full day, in an online gallery within three weeks.

Photographing a Wedding in Sheffield

Sheffield’s wedding venues are mostly old country houses on the edge of the city, with gardens and woodland right outside the door, so we never have to go far for lovely portraits.

I’ll usually start with you while you’re getting ready. There’s always a selfie, a laugh and a few nerves, and I’ll quietly catch it all without getting in the way.

After the ceremony I’ll take the two of you off for about twenty minutes of portraits. At Whitley Hall the main gardens are booked as a 30-minute photo slot, so I plan the pictures around that and make every minute count.

Then it’s the speeches and the dance floor, and that’s often when your friends really let go.
