The main hall is so grand. We love the tall ceiling, which brings a gothic flair that matches some of the groom’s tastes. The staircase makes an amazing entrance. We loved how it was an exclusive and all-in-one building.
Bridel Preperation at ALlerton Castle
Laura made the wonderful decision to get ready alongside her bridal party at Allerton Castle itself – a choice I always think is fantastic. Being at your wedding venue from the very start eliminates one big stress, allowing you to fully enjoy every moment leading up to the ceremony. The atmosphere on the morning was filled with excitement and anticipation, with everyone in such good spirits. The bridal prep room at Allerton Castle is truly stunning, offering an elegant and serene backdrop as the finishing touches were made. With its grand windows and exquisite detailing, it’s the perfect space to capture those intimate, behind-the-scenes moments before stepping into the next chapter of the day.
Groom Preperation at Allerton Castle
Laura and Jake opted to include a second photographer in their wedding package, something I offer with select full-day options. This allowed us to capture both the bride and groom’s preparations, adding depth to the storytelling of their day. While I stayed with Laura in the bridal suite, my second photographer met Jake in the Billiard Room, a space brimming with character. There, we captured those final moments as he and his groomsmen prepared for the day ahead. From adjusting cufflinks to sharing laughs, these candid shots truly highlighted the anticipation. The second photographer was then able to seamlessly transition into capturing the guests as they arrived, ensuring no part of the day went undocumented.
The Wedding Ceremoney At Allerton Castle

By opting for two photographers, they were able to capture their day from different perspectives, ensuring no moment was missed. Laura made a breathtaking entrance down the castle’s iconic grand staircase, making her way down the aisle to where Jake awaited her. The ceremony itself was simply fantastic. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, Laura and Jake exchanged heartfelt vows and rings, leaving the ceremony as a newly married couple, beaming with joy.
The Wedding Reception

After sharing heartfelt hugs and congratulations with their guests, the newly married couple made their way through a joyful confetti line, surrounded by the smiling faces of their loved ones. It was a beautiful moment that captured the excitement of the day. Following this, we moved on to the formal group photos. I always aim to keep these sessions as swift as possible, ensuring the couple can return to their celebrations quickly, while still capturing stunning images with the people who mean the most to them. Balancing efficiency with artistry is key to creating timeless memories without pulling the couple away for too long.
After the family photos, I had the pleasure of taking Laura and Jake for a stroll around the beautiful grounds of Allerton Castle to capture some intimate portraits of just the two of them. I always aim to keep my portrait sessions relaxed and informal, allowing couples to enjoy the moment while ensuring we create a few standout images that will forever remind them of their special day. Laura and Jake were simply fantastic to work with, and their natural connection shone through in every shot.
