Why Did you choose the Moorlands Inn Halifax?

We chose this venue as we didn’t really want it too formal, we wanted the day to be more chilled and party vibe rather than a formal wedding.

How did you meet each other?

Met through my cousin and our family’s love of rugby. We got engaged in New York at the top of the Empire State in 2018.

Lucy chose a picturesque Airbnb close to the Moorlands Inn as the perfect setting for her pre-wedding preparations. This charming property became a home away from home for the wedding party, who stayed there for a couple of days leading up to the big day. Surrounded by close friends and family, they shared relaxed moments together, making the most of the opportunity to celebrate before the formalities of the wedding day began. The Airbnb itself was a fantastic choice, offering a beautiful and comfortable space with plenty of character, which perfectly complemented the joyful atmosphere.

On the morning of the wedding, the house was alive with energy and excitement as Lucy and her bridal party prepared for the day ahead. The hum of conversation and laughter filled the air as everyone got ready, sharing stories and soaking in the anticipation of what was to come. Lucy’s bridal party was in high spirits, offering support and smiles as they helped her prepare for her walk down the aisle.

I began the day by photographing the intricate details that made Lucy’s wedding unique—her dress, shoes, jewellery, and carefully chosen accessories, each holding a story of its own.
