Libby & Jordan – Bagden Hall Hotel Wedding
Venue Overview.
A quick venue snapshot while we’re here: Bagden Hall is this lush Victorian country house vibe with 40 acres of gardens, lawns and a lake that’s perfect for portraits and outdoor moments. They’ve got indoor and outdoor ceremony options and a dedicated wedding team who look after couples from start to finish. The place balances classic old school character with relaxed hospitality, and they won’t host more than one wedding per day so the focus stays on you.

Libby & Jordan How did you Meet?
We met aged 17 & 18 in a nightclub in Batley (Frontier), we were out with our best friends who got talking and ended up kissing, when we were leaving the nightclub they were speaking so Jordan then spoke to me and asked me to add him on Facebook. We then kept talking and meeting up every weekend, our best friends Ben and Mary are also still together after 10 years and are the best man and maid of honour at our wedding.
I love that we have fun together and make each other laugh, we don’t take things too seriously and rarely argue.
Please tell me about the proposal.
Jordan proposed on my birthday in 2023, it was very unexpected and I was hungover after celebrating my birthday with friends the day before. I had no idea and he picked the ring all by himself the day before whilst I was out with friends, this was a risky move for him but he picked perfectly and I love it. He said I had kept hinting about wanting a ring and I think after 9 years I deserved one. His reasoning is that he ‘had to be sure’, the cheeky thing 🙂

What made you choose Bagden Hall Hotel for your wedding day?
I love the classic look of it being a hall, when we visited the staff were so lovely and accommodating and the grounds and area are just what we wanted.
How did you personalise your wedding to the two of you?
We have put our own little touches to the wedding, Libby has done a lot of DIY which is nice to keep and remember on the day and to say she made it herself. We have also thought carefully about our song choices which remind us of each other.

Bridel Preperations.
Libby’s morning started in the elegant dressing room at Bagden Hall Hotel, surrounded by friends and family. The atmosphere was relaxed, with lots of laughter and a few quiet, emotional moments as she got ready for the day ahead. It was the kind of morning that felt personal and intimate, full of little glimpses of excitement and nerves that make a wedding morning so special.
Having two photographers allowed me to stay with Libby and capture every candid smile, tear, and detail, while my second photographer spent time with Jordan and the boys. This way, both sides of the day were beautifully documented, and nothing was missed.

One of the most touching moments of the morning was the father of the bride reveal. Seeing Libby for the first time in her wedding dress brought a wave of emotion for him, a mix of pride, love, and that unmistakable “where did the time go” feeling. It was a quiet, heartfelt moment that perfectly captured the connection between father and daughter, and one of those instances that makes wedding mornings so memorable.

Outdoor Wedding CEREMONY at Bagden Hall.
Libby and Jordan chose to say their vows outside, and with the sun shining, it really set the scene for a beautiful, relaxed ceremony. Surrounded by friends and family, everyone looked the part, and there was a lovely sense of calm excitement in the air. The way the light fell across the grounds and on the couple created a naturally warm, glowing atmosphere that made every moment feel even more special.
Having two photographers on the day meant we could capture multiple angles simultaneously, from close-ups of tears and smiles to wider shots of the guests and venue. The outdoor setting also gave us the perfect opportunity to use the drone, which quietly hovered above to capture the full scope of the ceremony. From this perspective, you could see the immaculate gardens, the gathering of loved ones, and the intimate connection between Libby and Jordan, all framed beautifully by Bagden Hall’s surroundings. It’s moments like these—full of emotion, light, and detail—that make outdoor ceremonies so magical.

Wedding Reception.
The reception at Bagden Hall was full of warmth and laughter, and one of the things I love about this part of the day is letting the hugs happen naturally. Guests and the couple sharing those first embraces after the ceremony create some of the most genuine images, and I never rush them—those moments are worth waiting for.
Soon after, the confetti moment arrived, and as always, it was a joyful, playful scene. Watching everyone celebrate, with petals in the air and smiles all around, makes for images that really capture the fun of the day.
We also took the time for family group pictures, keeping things relaxed but organised enough to create a lovely keepsake for Libby and Jordan. These shots are a timeless way to remember who shared the day with them, and with Bagden Hall as the backdrop, they looked effortlessly elegant.

Couple Portraits.
After the excitement of the ceremony and reception, Libby and Jordan took some time for relaxed portraits around the stunning grounds of Bagden Hall. The gardens, lawns, and that beautiful lake offered the perfect backdrop for natural, candid images that really capture who they are as a couple.
We kept things informal, letting them interact naturally, laugh, and enjoy a few quiet moments together. The light was soft and flattering, giving the photos a warm, timeless feel. These portraits aren’t just about poses—they’re about capturing genuine connection, little glances, and the joy of being together on such a special day.

Bagden Hall Wedding BREAKFAST.
The speeches and wedding breakfast at Bagden Hall were a highlight of the day, full of laughter, heartfelt words, and the kind of moments that really stay with you. I worked in a fly-on-the-wall style, capturing everything as it happened without interrupting the natural flow. From the proud words of parents to the jokes and stories shared by friends, every reaction, smile, and tear was documented.
During the wedding breakfast, the atmosphere was relaxed and joyful, with guests enjoying the food, drinks, and company. Those quiet, candid moments between toasts—guests sharing a laugh, couples exchanging glances, little gestures of affection—are often the ones that make the wedding gallery feel personal and alive. Bagden Hall’s elegant interiors provided the perfect backdrop, adding a touch of classic charm to every image.

First Dance and Evening Reception.
As the evening kicked off, Libby and Jordan shared their first dance surrounded by friends and family. The moment was full of emotion, and you could feel the love and excitement in the room. Soon after, the dance floor quickly filled, and everyone joined in to celebrate, laugh, and party the night away.
The atmosphere was electric, yet still relaxed, giving plenty of opportunities to capture candid moments of joy, dancing, and pure fun. From the couple twirling together to guests showing off their best moves, the evening was a perfect mix of energy, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Bagden Hall’s elegant spaces provided a stylish backdrop for the festivities, while the images tell the story of a day that ended on a high note.

Twilight Wedding Day Images.
Before the day came to a close, we took a little time to head outside and capture some twilight images. The fading light added a magical, almost cinematic quality, creating a perfect opportunity for a signature shot that felt both intimate and a little different from the rest of the day.
These images are always a highlight for me—they have that award-winning feel, with the couple framed beautifully against the soft glow of the evening. It’s a chance to slow things down for a moment, focus on Libby and Jordan, and create something truly special that stands apart from the daytime shots. The gardens and grounds of Bagden Hall provided the ideal backdrop, giving these final photos a timeless and elegant finish to a perfect wedding day.

Libby and Jordan’s wedding at Bagden Hall was a day full of love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. From the relaxed morning preparations to the emotional outdoor ceremony, the joyful confetti, and the lively evening celebrations, every part of the day was beautifully captured. Ending with a few twilight portraits, we created images that are timeless, personal, and full of life. It was a pleasure to document their story and a reminder of why weddings at Bagden Hall are so special—an elegant venue, stunning surroundings, and memories that will last a lifetime.
